auto body/paint repair question -?
I just had my trucks rear quarterpanel painted due to damage by another party - (I believe the panel is called a bedside panel) - they did a good job installing the new panel & painting it to match (truck is brilliant black) - but I just noticed way down at the bottom rear corner of the truck cab, where it meets that new panel, there is about a 5" square (approximately) area of 'overspray' - that small area, while its hardly noticeable where its at, is more of an orange peel texture, rough to the touch, not polished/shiney & smooth like the rest of the paint - Can the body shop use a fine polish or super fine wet sanding/grit type of thing, and polish that overspray spot down, or would it just make it worse? Or would the proper fix be to have them repaint that entire lower panel on the crew cab compartment now? (I sure hope not) - thanks to any body shop/paint experts who can give me the best advice on this -
