There are many different services that can be performed on your vehicle as far as auto body repairs are concerned. Many auto body shops offer a variety of services that include paint touch up, paintless dent removal, bumper repair, wheel rim repair, windshield repair and much more.
You should start looking by asking around or dropping into local auto body repair shops in your area. Ask to see what kind of work they perform, how long it will take to complete the repairs, how much it will cost you to get the work completed, and the kind of process they use to repair vehicles, and anything else you feel is important to your specific needs.
Here are a few more things to look for:
If and when you are looking to get your vehicles auto body repaired you should take the time to select a great auto body shop for repair. You will want to choose a shop that offers a wide variety of services. That way all of your auto body needs can be met at the same place and handled by the same qualified professional. One thing to check is how long the shop has been in business for. This is not a sole indicator, but if the shop has been in business for some time chances are they are reliable and should do a good job on your vehicle. Don't choose a shop that has secured a bad name for their shop. Also, if you were to have any problems down the road you want to be sure that they will be around to uphold any warrantee or guarantee that they will most likely give you.
Also, make sure that you approve of the quality of work that the auto body shop produces. You want to get the repair done the right way the first time. It is perfectly acceptable to ask the shop to see examples of the work they have previously done. This will give you the best idea of what to expect.
Even though quality is one of the biggest things you are looking for, you will want to get a good deal. Don't just choose the first shop that you like. Look around at others and compare all aspects of them and then choose the one you feel is right for you and your vehicle.

schaumburg auto body repair?
Hi,
I have an old honda civic that I managed to scrape on the sides while taking it into my garage.
I need to get paint job done but I am now willing to spend 800 ( this was a place where I asked how much it would cost) bucks on it. Its an old car so it does not make sense to spend so much.
Could anyone suggest a good auto body repair shop or person in or around schaumburg , IL with whom i can get the paint job done for less ?
Thank you so much for your help in advance.

My guy friends work all the time and i dont want to bother them. I need someone to help replace my existing stock exhuast with a new exhaust and cold air intake that i bought. I also need help changing the tail lights to LED ones.
Would a auto body repair shop do this? or do they only do 'repairs'. If itake it to my dealership, would they do it or would they say it would void my warranty.

Auto body repair shop wont pay for accidental damages their worker caused, what should I do?
Auto body repair shop wont pay for damages, what should I do?
I went to get a quote to get some things fixed on my car at an auto repair shop. While there, through a freak accident, a nut flew off a hand hand buffing tool that a worker was using about 10 feet from my car and hit my car leaving a noticeable 1/8" dent, breaking through the paint, and exposing the raw metal underneath.
The Arabic/Middle Eastern owner wants to fix the damage on the quarter panel instead of cashing me out. I received 6 estimates from other shops to fix this, who quoted $300-600 to fix it, most around $400. The shop who did the damage is known for being the cheapest (lowest priced) shop around. They gave me varying answers on the paint warranty, first 2 years, then 1 year. Other shops said the price low-ballers use lower quality paint that won't last. I don't trust this shop who did the damage and also worry if the paint won't match the other part of the car. When I insisted he cash me out for $200, which is far less than any of the other shops quoted he still refused. He tried to tell me its the guys fault who was using the tool that hit my car, because he's a contractor. I call BS. All his employees were wearing similar uniforms. I told the owner my relationship was with his shop, not one of his employees and he needs to take responsibility for his workers. I told him it would be far cheaper for him to settle than this becoming a legal matter. He tried to blow me off, took my number and said the "contractor" who did the damage would call me. Of course he never did. I didn't see a business license posted, as I believe required by law.
What should I do? Call the police? Take him to small claims court in Houston TX?
I am moving later this week to Dallas about 4 hours away, so to return to Houston for court would be prohibitively expensive and time-consuming.
When I first went there I DIDNT KNOW his reputation. ONLY AFTER doing research on quotes did I learn this. Im looking for help, not worthless criticism. Would YOU want your car "fixed" with paint that won't hold up only to have another dispute with him in the future?
These condescending comments are unhelpful and wasteful. People dont go here to get criticized. Not everyone has an opinion on where is best to go. Furthermore, when a business is new, there is no one to ask because there isnt much history.
Nothing was signed, no work was performed. I went to get a quote. While there, this accidental damage happened.
